Moore, John Milton, Saginaw, Michigan

Loving husband, father, and grandfather passed away on Monday, June 18, 2012 at Edgewood Assisted Living at the age of 79 years. John was born on June 4, 1933 in Saginaw. He graduated from Arthur Hill High School the class of 1951. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Korean War. John married Nancy Pardridge on February 14, 1959; she survives him. He retired from GM in 1997. John enjoyed photography, model airplanes, model electric trains, motorcycling and traveling. Surviving besides his wife of 53 years, Nancy are their children; Steven Moore, Marilyn (Rev. Larry) Day, four grandchildren; Breanna and Marissa Moore, Adam and Samuel Day, his brother Ronald Moore, step-sister Beverley Williams, sisters-in-law; Shirley Moore, Joyce Moore, Jane Franz, Ann (Guy) Pardike, a special cousin Jane (Tom) Alcock and several nieces and nephews. John was predeceased by his father, George Moore, mother and step-father; Gertrude and Glen Williams, brothers George and Richard Moore, sister Betty (John) Spannagel and a sister-in-law Frieda Moore. Funeral service will take place on Friday, June 22, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at W. L. Case and Company Funeral Chapel, 201 N. Miller Road. His son-in-law, Rev. Larry Day will officiate with military burial at Oakwood Cemetery under the auspices of VFW Post 1859. Friends may visit with the family at the funeral chapel on Thursday from 2:00-4:00 p.m. and 6:00-8:00 p.m. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider the Alzheimer’s Association or Edgewood Assisted Living.
