Mooneyham, Dorothy Thamm, Woodbury, TN, Formerly of Saginaw, Michigan


Dorothy Thamm Mooneyham passed away December 25, 2012 in Murphysboro, Tennessee. She was 82 years old. A native of Saginaw, she was the daughter of the late George and Lena Rochla Thamm. Dorothy was confirmed at Holy Cross in 1944 and married there in 1951 to Lonnie Mooneyham. She then moved to Woodbury, Tennessee where she lived for the rest of her life. She was a member of Grace Lutheran of Murphysboro, Tennessee where she was very active. Dorothy was Marilyn Putnamís dear friend since the third grade at Holy Cross Lutheran School. She was also a dear friend and classmate of Clara Fehrman at the Saginaw General Hospital Nursing Program. Dorothy served as president of her class at the Nursing Program. Her first job was as an RN at the State of Michigan Hospital in Ypsilanti, where she met her husband, Lonnie. She was an OR/RN at Holy Cross Hospital in Ft. Lauderdale, FL and worked as an RN at Middle Tennessee Medical Center before she retired. Dorothy leaves a cousin, Jean Wiertzricki of Bridgeport, MI; a nephew, Alan Brown from Maitland, FL; and other nieces and nephews. She will be sadly missed. Her funeral was held on Saturday, December 29 she had Lutherís Coat of Arms engraved in her tombstone many years ago.
