Misko, Florence, Saginaw, Michigan

Loving and devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend, was called home to her Lord on Tuesday, January 31, 2012, at the home of her daughter, Emma. Age 92 years. Florence Carolina Emma Kraenzlein was born on March 29, 1919, in Saginaw, to the late Adolph and Clara (Schmidt) Kraenzlein. She was married to Benjamin (Ben) Misko on July 5, 1937, in Saginaw, where he predeceased her on March 12, 1998. Prior to her retirement, Florence had worked as a cook in hospital food service. She loved her Lord and church family. She was a faithful member of Redeemer Lutheran Church, where she volunteered for their famous Fish Fry’s, member of the Dorcas Society, chairperson of the Cheer Committee, and was a helping hand in Sunday School and VBS. Florence always thought of others. Surviving to cherish her memory is her daughter, Emma Hibbard, Saginaw, with whom she made her home; granddaughters, Kelly (Kevin) Shay, Saginaw; Cori (Treg) Kramer, of OH; great-granddaughters who were her pride and joy, Nicole Marie Shay, Katrina Mercedes Shay, and Andrea Cristina Shay; nieces and nephews, other loved extended families and dear friends who also meant the world to her. She was predeceased by her “son”-in-law and fishing buddy, Ralph Hibbard; four brothers and three sisters, Herbert, Harold, Raymond, Floyd Kraenzlein Betty Kraenzlein, Esther Anklam, and Viola Willis. Florence was “grandma” to many and will be missed. The Celebration of Florence’s Life will be held on Tuesday, February 7, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at Redeemer Lutheran Church, 3829 Lamson St. The Rev. Philip DeVries will officiate with burial in Fremont Cemetery in Bay County. Friends are welcome to visit with the family at the Wakeman Funeral Home, Inc., 1218 N.
