A happy, loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Frances was a founding member of St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, Saginaw, Michigan. With her broad intelligence, analytical mind, and boundless curiosity about her world and people, she was alive with interests. Her intellect and memory were razor sharp; her sense of self and her faith were rock solid. She read three newspapers daily, exhausted every library available to her and followed her stocks on her iPad. She played a mean euchre game and relished Bingo days. She shared her love with us in many ways including her cinnamon rolls, beautiful crocheted afghans, love of music, camping, travel, genealogy, flowers and her refined eye for beauty. Frances’ sense of fun and humor helped to make all feel welcome in her home, where she shared with anyone in need. She always had cookies, coffee and conversation on hand for the drop-in visitor. Frances relished in the details of the lives of her many friends and family. All nine of her children, and many of her eighteen grandchildren, visited her at home in her last days Frances was an open hearted Irish woman who had a steadfast belief in the better angels in us all. From her roots she gave us wings.
