McMahan, Ruby Belle, Saginaw, Michigan

Loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother passed away Saturday, March 24, 2012 at the Saginaw Senior Care and Rehab Centre. Age 94 years. Daughter of the late Paul and Rose Ellen (Crouch) Pietsch, Ruby was born March 18, 1918 in Onekama, Michigan. She was married to Chester Arthur McMahan on October 14, 1939. He predeceased her July 9, 2008. Ruby enjoyed collecting rocks and all the activities at Saginaw Senior Care and Rehab Centre. Surviving are three daughters, two sons and their spouses, Charlene and William Hersem, Athens, Alabama; Vivian and Rick Boswell, Taylors, South Carolina ; Kenneth McMahan, Saginaw; Dennis and Pamela McMahan, Freeland; Marianne and Thomas Luth, Saginaw; 14 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Ruby was preceded in death by her daughter, Rose Marie Katter, a great-grandson, five sisters and three brothers, Gloria Clish, Charlotte Green, Wilma Pietsch, Elsworth Pietsch, Eunice Donahue, Fern Dimmick, Raymond Pietsch Sr. and Paul Pietsch. Funeral Service will take place on Wednesday, March 28, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at The Snow Funeral Home, 3775 N. Center Road (between Shattuck and McCarty). Pastor Edward Meyer will officiate. Honoring Mrs. McMahan’s wishes cremation will follow with burial of cremains in St. Andrew Cemetery. Friends may call at funeral home where the family will be present on Tuesday from 2:00-8:00 p.m. and on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until time of service.
