McIntyre, James R., Saginaw Township, Michigan

Passed away Sunday, June 17, 2012 at his residence at age 73 years. James was born August 24, 1938 in Saginaw where he has resided his entire life. He was the son of the late Joseph R. and Margaret (Adams) McIntyre. He was the former owner of the McIntyre Funeral Chapel . James will be remembered for his generosity of the McIntyre Pavilion on Ojibway Island, his support of PRIDE and the Saginaw Area Fireworks. He was Past President of the Saginaw Downtown Lion’s Club, a Past President of PRIDE and Past President of the Saginaw Area Fireworks, Inc. He was a life member of St. Andrew Catholic Church. Surviving is his sister Joanne Psetas and her husband Paul Davis of Saginaw; three nieces and a nephew: Julie Buczkowski, Jodie Furtaw, Jamie Matz and Nickolas Psetas. Also surviving are 10 great nieces and nephews and 3 great-great nieces and nephews. Also many friends including Bill Giorgis, Jerry Toney, Nicholas Prieur and Russell Inman. Funeral service will take place on Wednesday, June 20, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Andrew Catholic Church. Rev. Fr. George Serour will officiate with burial in St. Andrew Cemetery. Visitation will take place on Tuesday, June 19, 2012 from 2:00-8:00 p.m. at the McIntyre Funeral Chapel, 500 N. Michigan Ave., and on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until service at the church. Memorials can be considered to the Saginaw Area Fireworks Inc. or to PRIDE’s Holidays in the Heart of the City.
