Luckett-Geiersbach, Winnie M., Saginaw, Michigan

Passed away on Monday, April 2, 2012 at Covenant Healthcare. Age 87 years. The daughter of the late Fred H. and Beatrice F. (Roney) Parker was born on August 28, 1924 in Lansing, MI. She married Delbert G. Luckett on September 7, 1942; he predeceased her on January 1, 1994. During WWII, Winnie supported the war effort working for Ford Motor Company, Detroit, MI as a "Rosie the Riveter." She later married Walter Geiersbach on September 29, 1995; he also predeceased her on February 17, 2004. Winnie worked for Sears and retired in 1981 with over twenty years of service. She was a member of Bridgeport Community Church. Winnie enjoyed square dancing, reading and traveling. Surviving are her children and their spouses; Linda (Eric) Lentner, Carol (Charles) Marquardt, Delbert (Sharon) Luckett; 6 grandchildren; Kurt (Jennifer) Lentner, Jeremy Glasser, Kimberly Glasser, Kristopher (Jamie) Lentner, Delbert J. (Natalie) Luckett, Alicia Luckett; 6 great-grandchildren; Kalie and Daniel Luckett, Olivia, Kaleb, and Parker Lentner, and Charleigh Glasser She was predeceased by a brother, Robert J. Parker. A funeral service will take place on Thursday, April 5, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at Bridgeport Community Church, 3821 State St., Bridgeport. Rev. Ronald Sinclair will officiate with burial at Pinegrove Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family on Wednesday from 2:00-4:00p.m. and 6:00-8:00 p.m. at W. L. Case and Company Funeral Chapel, 201 N. Miller Road, and on Thursday at church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider Juvenile Diabetes or Bridgeport Community Church.
