Loiselle Sr., Thomas E., Saginaw, Michigan


Beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather passed away peacefully surrounded by the love of his family on Wednesday, June 13, 2012 at his home. Age 80 years. Son of the late Henry and Norma (Buhl) Loiselle, Thomas was born on October 17, 1931 in Grand Blanc, Michigan. He married the love of his life Dorothy (Smietana) Loiselle on January 31, 1953. He was a dedicated and hardworking employee for Inter City Trucking for 20 years retiring in 1988. He was a trucker all his life and enjoyed his time on the road. Thomas was a member of the Local #332. In his free time he enjoyed, bowling, fishing with his friends, playing the lotto whenever he could and of course going to the casino with his dear friend Bill Klisch. Most importantly, he loved his family and wanted to spend every moment with them. He will be dearly missed by all those who knew him. Besides his wife Dorothy, he is survived by his daughter Kristine and Brian Grimes of Saginaw; 3 grandchildren Ryan Loiselle, Amy Heyer and Steven Grimes; 2 great-grandchildren James Heyer and Nicolas Grimes; Joel and Emma Loiselle of Bay City; Ronald and Sheila Loiselle of California; a special sister-in-law Bernice Haselhuhn; a brother-in-law Fred Smietana; along with several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a son Thomas E. Loiselle, Jr.; his brothers Alfred Loiselle and Marvin Loiselle; and his sisters Jeanne Kleinfeld, Eileen Bauman and Mary Thomas. Funeral services will take place on Saturday, June 16, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at The Snow Funeral Home, 3775 N. Center Road (between Shattuck and McCarty). Rev. Fr. Joseph A. Schabel will officiate with burial in St. Andrew Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home, where the family will be present from 2:00-8:00 p.m. on Friday and then 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
