Loeffler Jr., Andrew A., Hemlock, Michigan


Passed away Wednesday, February 8, 2012 at Magnum Care, age 83 years. Andrew was born in Saginaw, Michigan October 22, 1928 to the late Andrew and Cecelia (Steckel) Loeffler. He married Nancy J. Ball August 6, 1948 and she predeceased him July 10, 1990. Andrew enlisted in the United States Navy after school, and was stationed in Guam. He was employed by Saginaw Steering Gear, retiring after 30 years of service. Andrew enjoyed camping fishing and hunting. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Merrill. Andrew is survived by his two daughters and two sons, Ione (Thomas) Eickholt, Chesaning, Debra (Jerry) Kennedy, Florida, William Loeffler, and Daniel (Olivia) Loeffler, Saginaw; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; a very loving and caring companion of 22 years, Betty Moulton, Hemlock; one sister, Carlene Cieszlak, Saginaw; a sister-in-law, Elenor Loeffler, Hoyt Nursing Home, Saginaw; and many nieces, nephews and their families. Besides his wife and parents, he was predeceased by a brother, Joseph Loeffler, and a sister, Margaret Lorencz. The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to Betty Moulton. She was there for Andrew for many years. Also, they would like to thank Dialysis Associates Nephrologists, St. Mary’s Hospital, Magnum Care Nursing Home and Fresenius Medical Care. The funeral service will take place on Saturday February 11, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Merrill. Rev. Craig Carolan will officiate with burial in Midland Memorial Gardens. Military honors will be under the auspices of the Hemlock-Merrill VFW Post #7302. Friends may visit with the family at W. L. Case & Company, 201 N. Miller Road, on Friday from 2:00-5:00 p.m. and 7:00-9:00 p.m. where a Rosary will be prayed at 7:30 p.m. Friday. Family and friends may then call at the church on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until time of the service.
