Jarzabkowski, Malinda W., Saginaw, Michigan

Passed away Sunday, September 30, 2012 at Shattuck Manor, age 90 years. Malinda was born in Saginaw, Michigan December 2, 1921 the daughter of the late Otto A. and Lena (Ballien) Steinke. She was a 1940 graduate of Arthur Hill High School. Malinda married Stanley J. Jarzabkowski November 4, 1943. He predeceased her October 16, 2006. She was an active member of St. Paul Ev. Lutheran Church at Court & Bond Sts. She worked for Wiechmann’s Department store for 24 years in the shoe department. She worked as a Nursing Aide at St. Luke’s Hospital for 14 years, retiring from there in 1986. Malinda loved spending time at her cottage at Houghton Lake. She enjoyed wintering in Florida; playing cards and bingo. She was a beautiful knitter. She served as the secretary of three bowling leagues and helped to organize the Bowling Hall of Fame in Saginaw. Malinda is survived by her son and his wife, Ronald and Pamela Jarzabkowski of Saginaw; two grandchildren, Tammy (Richard) Estalella, California and Jeffery (Rebecca) Jarzabkowski, Florida; three great-grandchildren, Jeffery Jarzabkowski Jr., Alec Jarzabkowski and Danny Estalella; a brother, Harold (Phyllis) Steinke; a sister, Barbara (Robert) Schneider; many nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, Malinda was predeceased by a brother, Wilbert Steinke and a sister, Ruth Lambkin. The funeral service will take place on Thursday, October 4, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. at St. Paul Ev. Lutheran Church, Court & Bond Streets. Rev. Carl Otto will officiate with burial in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Friends may visit with the family on Wednesday from 2:00-8:00 p.m. at W. L. Case & Company, 4480 Mackinaw Road, and at church on Thursday from 12:00 noon until time of the service. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider a donation to St. Paul Ev.
