Jamrog, Richard G., Saginaw, Michigan


Beloved father and grandfather passed away Monday, January 23, 2012 at St. Mary’s of Michigan. Age 85 years. The son of the late Peter and Helen (Jozwiak) Jamrog, Richard was born on September 11, 1926 in Carrollton, Michigan. He served in the United States Army during WWII. He married Frances T. Pietruck on June 13, 1953. She predeceased him on December 6, 2010. Richard was employed by Baker Perkins and Thompson Ball Screw. He was a member of St. Casimir Catholic Church. Richard was a life member of V.F.W. Post #1859 and Pulaski Club. Surviving are one son, two daughters and their spouses, Daniel and Betty Jamrog, Harrah, Oklahoma; Linda Coen, Weirton, West Virginia; Lori and John Wilson, Saginaw; five grandchildren, April Coen, Cpl. Michael Coen, Megan Simmons, Tiffany and Matthew Wilson; a brother, Arthur (Barb) Jamrog, Saginaw; a brother-in-law, Walter (Butch) Patrick, Oscoda; several nieces and nephews. Richard was predeceased by a brother, Chester Jamrog; a sister, Maxine Leszczynski. Funeral Liturgy will take place on Friday, January 27, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Casimir Catholic Church. Rev. Fr. Joseph Schabel will officiate. Burial will take place in Mt. Olivet Cemetery with Military Honors rendered by V.F.W. Post #1859. Friends may call at The Snow Funeral Home, 3775 N. Center Road, (between Shattuck and McCarty), where the family will be present on Thursday from 2:00-4:00 p.m. and 6:00-8:00 p.m. and on Friday at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of Mass. The V.F.W. Post #1859 will do a walk thru at the funeral home at 6:30 p.m. Thursday. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to Ss.
