Heuschele, JoAnne, Saginaw, Michigan

Beloved wife, mother, grandmother and sister passed away Monday, July 30, 2012, at the Cartwright Hospice Residence after suffering from a cerebral hemorrhage on June 4, 2012. JoAnne Stocker was born September 13, 1937, in Monroe, Michigan, the daughter of the late Thomas and Jean (Edgeworth) Stocker. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Education from Alma College in 1960. She married classmate Dr. Richard Paul Heuschele on June 18, 1960; he survives her. JoAnne was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Saginaw, and was an affiliate member of First Presbyterian Church, Lehigh Acres, Florida. She enjoyed sewing and machine knitting, and also taught classes in machine knitting. She was a member of the Saginaw Club. JoAnne and Dick enjoyed their winters in Florida and their summers at their cottage in Harrison. JoAnne especially loved spending time with her grandchildren. She is also survived by her children, Jane Rice (Scott) of Freeland; Laura Beneker of Sanford: Erich Heuschele (Diana) of Oxford; grandchildren, William Armstrong, Megan Beneker, David Rice, Paul Christian Heuschele, and Daniel Heuschele; and her brother, Gary Stocker. Memorial services will take place on Wednesday, September 5, 2012 at 5:00 p.m. at First Presbyterian Church, 121 S. Harrison St., Saginaw, where her family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. Wednesday until the time of service. Rev. Dr. Robert L. Emrich will officiate.
