Hatzke, Elizabeth Emma (Megerle), Saginaw, Michigan

Beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother went home to be with the Lord on April 7, 2012. Age 83 years. The daughter of the late Carl and Emma (Hoegerl) Megerle was born on April 7, 1929 in Saginaw. She married Joseph Frank Hatzke on December 27, 1947; he predeceased her on April 2, 2002. She had been employed in Daycare, by Daily Pickle and Saginaw Furniture Company. She was a member of SS Peter & Paul Catholic Church. She enjoyed crocheting, ceramics, recipe books and interlocking puzzles. For the past nine months she had made her home at Saginaw Geriatrics Home. Surviving are a son and two daughters, Joseph J. Hatzke and his wife, Karen, Zilwaukee, MI; Christine Hatzke; Margaret Hatzke Duperon and her husband Tom Duperon all of Saginaw; her grandchildren, Joseph, Christopher and Michele Duperon, Joshua and Christy Brown; five great grandchildren, Maria, Makayla, Mason, Mackenzie and Aiden; a brother, Herman Megerle Jr.; a sister, Mrs. Ann Zazo; her brothers-in-law and their wives, Tony and Margaret Hatzke; Tom and Elizabeth Guthrie; several nieces and nephews. A daughter, Theresa Hatzke Brown and a sister-in-law, Mary Boyd, have predeceased her. Funeral liturgy will take place on Tuesday, April 10, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at SS Peter & Paul Catholic Church, 4735 W. Michigan Ave. Fr. John Johnson will officiate with burial at St. Andrew Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family on Monday at W. L. Case and Company Funeral Chapel, 4480 Mackinaw Road, from 2:00-5:00p.m. and 7:00-9:00 p.m. Monday where a parish wake service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Friends may then call at the Church from 10:00 a.m. Tuesday until the time of the funeral liturgy. www.casefuneralhome.com
