Harness, Norma Jean, Prudenville, MI, Formerly of Saginaw, Michigan


Loving wife, mother and grandmother passed away on Thursday, April 19, 2012 after a long illness. Age 70 years. The daughter of the late Ray and Jean (Hamilton) Day was born on May 18, 1941 in Saginaw, Michigan. She married Roger Harness on November 5, 1960; he survives her. Norma and Roger retired and moved to Prudenville in 1994. Norma enjoyed going to rummage sales and doing special crafts and giving them to people, especially her famous tooth pillows. Norma was the heart of her family and will be greatly missed. Norma was a generous and kind woman who always sacrificed to give to others. Surviving besides her husband of 51 years, Roger, are their children, Wanda (Rick) Baird, Randall (Sharon) Harness, and Victoria Harness. Also surviving are her grandchildren, Ricky Baird, Nick Harness, Heather Harness, Shannon Baird, Joey Loftus, David Baird and Courtney Harness. She is also survived by her brothers, Donald and Theron Day, sister, Janice Niebel, and her beloved dog, Molly. Norma was predeceased by her brother, Raymond Day. Norma will be cremated and buried at Roselawn Memorial Garden at a later date. Per Norma's wishes, there will be no funeral service.
