Harmon, James P., Saginaw, Michigan

Beloved father, grandfather and great-grandfather passed away Monday, May 7, 2012 at Brian’s House and Hospice in Bay City. Age 86 years. The son of the late Michael and Anna (Sirak) Harmon, James was born August 12, 1925 in Ubly, Michigan. He served in the U.S. Navy. James married Betty Jane Smith on August 31, 1946. She predeceased him 1999. James retired from Oscar Rau Furniture in Frankenmuth. He loved to fish and go boating. Most importantly, he enjoyed his time with his family especially his grandchildren and great-grandson. Surviving are his twin daughters and their spouses Jane and Dave Kuch, Joan and Herb Schmidt; four grandchildren, Garrett (Amy), Jenna and fiancé Eric, Taryn (Jacob), and Allison; a great-grandson Bennett James; three sisters Marie Wright, Helen Hogue, and Verna Rasmussen; a sister-in-law Carol Smith; and several nieces and nephews. A private committal service took place at Chapel Hill Mausoleum. Rev. Fr. James Heller from St. Stephen Catholic Church officiated. Arrangements entrusted to The Snow Funeral Home.
