Hamilton, Cedrick William, St. Petersburg, FL, Formerly of St. Louis, Michigan

Passed away December 5, 2011, in St. Petersburg, FL at the age of 90 years. Cedrick was born February 2, 1921, in St. Louis, MI to the late Elta Eliza (Benton) and John Marion Hamilton. Cedrick was a resident of the Saginaw area most of his life. He graduated from Saginaw High School. Cedrick joined the U.S. Marine Corps where he served in the South Pacific during WWII. Sid was an active member of First United Methodist Church. He was employed by Baker Perkins Company retiring in 1987, and then he became a snowbird, spending the winter months in St. Petersburg, FL. He is survived by several nieces and nephews, including Nile and Carol Hamilton of Saginaw; and one very special friend, Thelma Kidd. He was predeceased in 2000 by his wife of 49 years; Viola May (Latty) Hamilton and a son Nicholas in 1983; and his siblings, Niles M. Hamilton, Donald J. Hamilton, LeRoy L. Hamilton, Vera V. Sian, Josephine (Fran) Elgels, Bernice E. Ward, Doris M. Schultz, Mary Louise Otis. A memorial service will take place on Thursday, May 24, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. at Eastlawn Memorial Gardens, 7475 E. Holland Road, Saginaw, MI. Reverend Kathryn Snedeker of First United Methodist Church will officiate with burial to follow under the auspices of V.F.W. Post #1859 of Carrollton.
