Guiette, Alfred Leroy, Coleman, MI, Formerly of Bridgeport, Michigan

Passed away Friday, August 10, 2012 at the Aleda E. Lutz Veterans Palliative Care Unit at the age of 57 years. He was born February 4, 1955 in Saginaw to the late Alfred L. and Ida C. (Payne) Guiette. He joined the U. S. Navy immediately following his graduation from Bridgeport High School in 1973. He served on the USS Corry DD817. He married Sandra Long September 13, 1973; she survives him. He had been employed as a welder, a mental health worker and homecare aid. Leroy was a member of the American Legion Post #0443 in Sanford, Michigan. Surviving besides his wife, Sandy, are one son and one daughter, Alfred Steven Guiette and his wife Barbara, St. Claire Shores; Amy Louise Guiette, Lakeland, Florida; a step-granddaughter, Rebecca; three brothers and one sister, Norman P. Pregent, Daniel C. Guiette, Eric V. Guiette, and Denise Fair; many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a sister and a brother. Funeral service will take place on Tuesday, August 14, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at the W. L. Case and Company Funeral Chapel, 4480 Mackinaw Road. Pastor Kim Franks will officiate. Friends may call at the chapel, 4480 Mackinaw Road, from 3:00-5:00 p.m. and 7:00-9:00 p.m. on Monday. They may then call on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until time of service.
