Gallery, Reuben Jackson, Saginaw, Michigan

Passed away Thursday, August 9, 2012 at his son’s home, age 83 years. Reuben was born in Saginaw, Michigan July 16, 1929 the son of the late Arthur “Doc” and Hattie Grace (Dodd) Gallery. He married Susan Messner September 18, 1953 and she survives him. He was employed by Riverside Auto Parts. Reuben was a member of the Lutheran faith. In addition to his wife, Reuben is survived by his daughter, Debra (Rick) Mockridge, his son, Jack (Donna) Gallery; three grandchildren, Erik, Jada and Jalen Gallery and a sister, Alice Rumery. He was predeceased by his brothers, Arthur J. Gallery, William Irving Gallery; sisters, Bessie (Gallery) Darland, Wanda (Gallery) Meekhof, Elnora (Gallery) Defrees, Mary Evelyn (Gallery) Meekhof and a half-brother, Alvin Scram. The funeral service will take place on Saturday, August 18, 2012 at 1:30 p.m. at W. L. Case & Company, 4480 Mackinaw Road. Rev. Lonnie Brown will officiate with entombment in Oakwood Mausoleum with military services under the auspices of American Legion Post No. 439. Friends may visit with the family at the chapel Friday from 2:00-5:00 p.m. and 7:00-9:00 p.m. and on Saturday from 12:30 p.m. until time of the service. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider a donation to the American Cancer Society or American Hospice.
