Doud, Dolene E., Saginaw, Michigan

Passed away Sunday, October 14, 2012, at Hoyt Nursing and Rehab Center. Age 91 years. The daughter of the late Erma (Emerick) and Ellsworth Woods was born April 7, 1921 in Gladwin, Michigan. She married Oliver Doud. He predeceased her. She had owned and operated the Blue Bird Restaurant on South Michigan Ave. and was employed by Daly Pickle Company, retiring with 18 years of service. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Saginaw and was an avid quilter, enjoyed gardening and playing cards. Surviving are four children and their spouses, Yvonne Kube; Bernadine Maxwell, both of Saginaw, MI; Frederick and Sharon Bartlett, Freeland, MI; Linda and Ronald Feinauer, Bay City, MI; ten grandchildren; twenty-six great grandchildren; twelve great great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and other relatives. She was predeceased by a granddaughter, two sons-in-law, Daniel Maxwell and Donald Kube; two brothers and two sisters, Duane and Leonard Woods, Betty Smith and Alma VanHoff. The funeral service will take place on Wednesday, October 17, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at the W. L. Case and Co. Funeral Chapel, 4480 Mackinaw Road, Saginaw. Rev. Susan Hand will officiate with burial in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Friends may call at the Chapel from 3:00-8:00 p.m. Tuesday.
