Crane, Jack S., Saginaw, Michigan

Passed away Sunday, January 8, 2012, at Covenant – Cooper. Age 80 years. Jack was born October 18, 1931, in Saginaw, the son of the late Stanley and Doris Crane. He graduated from Saginaw High School with the Class of 1950. He served with the National Guard for several years. Jack retired from Consumers Power Company in 1993 after 25 years of service. He was a member of the Catholic faith and formerly was a member of the Knights of Columbus. He was an avid outdoorsman, and enjoyed hunting and fishing. Surviving are two sons and one daughter, Tim S. and Susan Crane, and Paul S. and Laurie Crane, all of Freeland; Sherie E. and Martin McArdle, St. Helen, Michigan; six grandchildren, Jacob Crane, Alexandra, Ashlyne and Alyssa Crane, Amy (Merritt) Kochan and Abby Railling; one sister, Joann (Joseph) McGrandy; several nieces and nephews and their families. He was predeceased by a son, Thomas W. Crane, three brothers and one sister, Ronald, Gerald and Earl Crane and Bonnie Enciso. His family will receive friends at the W. L. Case & Company Funeral Chapel, 4480 Mackinaw Road, from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Wednesday. Private committal services will be held at St. Andrew Cemetery.
