Chadwick, Sally Ann, Saginaw, Michigan


Passed away Thursday, January 26, 2012 at Saginaw Senior Care Center. She was 76 years old. Sally Ann Johnson was born June 12, 1935 in Saginaw to the late George (G.I.) and Ella Mae (Doyle) Johnson. She met Charles J. Chadwick at church as a young girl. They began dating and married on June 18, 1955, celebrating 56 years together. He survives her. Sally worked for several years at Morley and The Township Times before becoming an Avon Representative in 1984. She continued selling Avon until April of 2011 making many friends along the way. She was a lifelong member of First Christian Church and a founding member of First Christian Church West. Sally was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She will be missed by all. Left to treasure Sally’s memory are her husband, Charles; two daughters: Susan Ross, Karen (Albert Jr.) Gallup; three grandchildren: Heather (William) Conaway, Nathan (Christa) Ross of Colorado Springs, CO, and Joshua (Kacia) Ross of Topeka, KS; and twelve great grandchildren. Sally was thrilled to know that the thirteenth would be born later this year. Sally’s family wishes to thank all those involved in her care during her lengthy illness: Covenant Visiting Nurses, Covenant Hospital, Saginaw Senior Care and Rehab Center, and Dr. Beverly Jarema. Sally’s Funeral Services will take place on Monday, January 30, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at Deisler Funeral Home, 2233 Hemmeter (off State Street). Rev. Jean O’Brien will officiate with burial in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Friends are welcome to visit at Deisler Funeral Home on Sunday, January 29, 2012 from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. and on Monday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of Sally’s funeral service.
