Brechtelsbauer, Maureen I., Saginaw, Michigan

Loving mother, grandmother, sister and aunt, passed away Sunday, June 10, 2012, at the Cartwright Care Center. Age 83 years. Maureen I. Loeffler was born August 14, 1928, in Saginaw, the daughter of the late Irma (Quinlan) and Walter Loeffler. She married Allen Brechtelsbauer May 13, 1950; he predeceased her November 15, 1995. She had been employed by Saginaw County, working in the Saginaw County Clerk office for many years, retiring in 1995. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. She was an avid MSU Spartan fan. Surviving are four sons, one daughter and their spouses, Wally and Mie Brechtelsbauer, California; Jack and Patrice Brechtelsbauer, Lansing; Bob and Sue Brechtelsbauer, Saginaw; Mike Brechtelsbauer, Standish; Jill and Bill Thompson, Saginaw; her grandchildren, Kate and Ken Brechtelsbauer; Blair Brechtelsbauer; Dr. Brandi (Jeff) Czerwinski; Chassidy (Robert) Allison; and Joshua Thompson; one sister, Zita Ann Harrington, Saginaw; several nieces, nephews and their families. Besides her husband and parents, she was predeceased by her granddaughter, Amanda Sue Thompson, a brother, Walter Loeffler, and two sisters, Clare Mueller and Ruth Grobe. Funeral service will take place on Friday, June 15, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at the W. L. Case & Company Funeral Chapel, 4480 Mackinaw Road, where her family will receive friends from 4:00-8:00 p.m. on Thursday, and then on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Rev. Rob Richards will officiate with burial in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
