Borkholder, Viola M., Saginaw, Michigan


Went home to be with her Lord on Tuesday, October 16, 2012, at her residence. Age 86 years. Viola Weidman was born on May 9, 1926, in Pigeon, MI to the late Wesley and Emma (Staheli) Weidman. She married Lloyd Borkholder on July 23, 1954. He predeceased her on April 18, 2003. Viola loved helping parents tend to their small children at church. Surviving are three daughters and their spouses, Virginia (Ginny) and Michael Fitzsimons, Saginaw; Linda and Dale Grant, Portland, Maine; Joyce Lent, Saginaw; three grandchildren, John and Tracy Fitzsimons, and Kayla Lent (fiancé Leon Wilson IV); three sisters and one brother, Eileen Herman, Alberta Ruth Wolfe, Betty Parsell, and Alvin (Sally) Weidman. Besides her husband and parents, she was also predeceased by a sister, Eldonna Parsell, son-in-law, Andy Lent, brothers-in-law, Carl and Harold Parsell, Lloyd Wolfe and Elmer Herman. The family wishes to express their thanks to Dr. George Gugino, also Trisha, Nicole and Lee of Helping Hands Home Health Care and Val of Hospice Advantage for their care of Viola. Funeral and committal services will take place on Friday, October 19, 2012at 11:00 a.m. at Hopevale Church, 4873 N. Center Road. Pastors Michael Garner and Daniel Davis will officiate. Private burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Friends are welcome to visit with the family at Hopevale Church on Thursday from 2:00-8:00 p.m., then on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services.
