Bohl, Donald W., Saginaw, Michigan

Beloved husband, father and grandfather passed away Saturday, April 14, 2012 at St. Mary’s of Michigan Medical Center. Age 77 years. The son of the late Dewey and Peg (Crandall) Bohl, Don was born December 13, 1934 in Saginaw, Michigan. He married Maxine E. Powell, his loving wife of 55 years, August 18, 1956. She survives him. Don was employed at the City of Saginaw in the Parks Department for 30 years until his retirement May 13, 1988. He was a member of Ss. Simon & Jude Catholic Church. Don enjoyed bowling, hunting, fishing, going to the casino and playing softball. Most of all, Don’s family was most important to him and loved being with his family. Surviving besides his wife Maxine are two daughters and one son, Gail Collver, Saginaw; Karen Casper and her husband James, Bay City; Donald E. Bohl and his wife Lena, Frankenmuth; seven grandchildren, Billy, Jenny, Kristen, Nicole, Chelsea, Gina and Matt; three brothers, Marvin and Carol Bohl, Saginaw; Gerald Bohl, Marion; Larry and Millie Bohl, Saginaw; several nieces and nephews. Don was preceded in death by one brother and one sister, Dick Bohl and Janice McRae. Funeral Liturgy will take place on Tuesday, April 17, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at Ss. Simon & Jude Catholic Church. Rev. Fr. John Mancini, O.S.F.S., will officiate with burial in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Friends may call at The Snow Funeral Home, 3775 N. Center Road, (between Shattuck and McCarty), where the family will be present on Monday from 3:00-8:00 p.m. and at Ss. Simon & Jude Catholic Church on Tuesday from 9:00 a.m. until time of Mass. There will be a Vigil Service at 7:00 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to Ss.
