Boensch, Thomas K., Bridgeport, Michigan

Passed away Tuesday June 19, 2012 at St. Mary’s of Michigan at the age of 65 years. Thomas was born March 20, 1947 in Saginaw, Michigan. The son of Mary (Schrems) Boensch and the late Kenneth Boensch. He was in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. Thomas retired from General Motors in 1999; he had a passion for restoring classic cars, hunting and spending time with his two grandchildren. Surviving are his two children; Joseph (Heather) Boensch; Julie (Craig) Lewis; two grandchildren Brendan and Peyton Lewis; his mother Mary Boensch; one sister and four brothers; Joan (Dee) Drabek, Ron (Kate) Boensch, Larry (Gloria) Boensch, Dennis Boensch, and Bob Boensch; several nieces and nephews and friends. Funeral service will take place on Saturday June 23, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at the W. L. Case and Company Funeral Chapel, 5700 Dixie Highway. Rev. Richard Jozwiak will officiate with military honors rendered by the American G.I. Forum. Friends may call at the W. L. Case and Company Funeral Chapel from 2:00-4:00 p.m. and 6:00-8:00 p.m Friday and from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service Saturday.
