Mary Fran was reunited with her loving husband, Lyle, who went to his heavenly home just six days prior. Loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother passed away Monday, March 12, 2012 at the Cartwright Hospice Residence. Age 89 years. The daughter of the late Roy and Mary (Schultz) Guiette, Mary Fran was born May 1, 1922 in Saginaw, Michigan. She married Lyle T. Bishop on August 14, 1948. He predeceased her March 6, 2012. Mary Fran was a member of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church and American Legion Auxiliary Unit Post #22. Mary Fran enjoyed line dancing and being with family. Surviving are two sons, one daughter and their spouses, Lyle (Tom) Bishop Jr. and his wife Georgia, Apple Valley, Minnesota; Beth Bishop, Midland; John Bishop and his wife Karen, Ft. Worth, Texas; a daughter-in-law, Sue Rompf, Hurst, Texas; eight grandchildren; two great- grandchildren; a step-sister, Wilma Bailey; a step-brother, William and Lois Crites; several nieces and nephews. Mary Fran was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Al Limberg, a sister, Helen Griffore, and by her step-mother, Doris Guiette. Funeral Liturgy will take place on Friday, March 17, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church. Rev. Fr. Randy Kelly will officiate. Honoring Mrs. Bishop’s wishes, cremation will follow. Friends may call at The Snow Funeral Home, 3775 N. Center Road, (between Shattuck and McCarty), where the family will be present on Thursday from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until time of Mass. A Vigil Service will take place at 7:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Lyle and Mary Fran will be interred together in the spring at Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
