The son of the late Carl and Pearl (Hursh) Bergey, Bill was born May 29, 1922 in Flint, Michigan and would have celebrated his 90th birthday in just a few days. Bill attended Baker Business University. He married Mary K. Mangapora on March 6, 1943, (who coincidentally shared the same birthday of May 29, 1922). She predeceased him January 27, 2005. Bill was employed in parts distribution at Buick Parts & Service and as a salesman at Morley Brothers and R.C.A. Distributing Company. He then owned and operated May Kay Cleaners with his wife Mary until his retirement. Bill enjoyed woodworking, fishing, cars, word puzzles, guitar playing, country music and working in the yard. Most of all, Bill enjoyed the time he spent with his children and grandchildren. Surviving are one son, two daughters and their spouses, William Bergey Jr. and his wife Deborah, Lake George; Marla and Kenneth Beougher, Merrill; Joni and Neal Wegner, Sierra Vista, Arizona; seven grandchildren, Michael (Jessica), Jacqueline, Jason, Jillian Bergey, Blair (Erin) Beougher, Patrick and Michael Wegner; several nieces and nephews; very special friends, Mark and Jamie Redburn; his beloved canine companion, Sammy.
