Bender, Bruce, Saginaw, Michigan

Loving brother and uncle, passed away Saturday, July 7, 2012 at the Cartwright Hospice Residence after a brave battle with cancer. Bruce was born on March 10, 1954 to Stella Jarzabkowski and LeRoy Bender who have preceded him in death on November 1990 and December 2011 respectively. Bruce retired in 2005 from Delphi Chassis after 30 years of dedicated service. Bruce always enjoyed reading about history especially the Civil War. And he loved the outdoors and outdoor sports especially fishing, golf and tennis. Bruce was very close to his family and loved his nieces and nephews very much and was loved by them. Bruce was a man of deep faith and very devoted to the Lord. He was an active member of St. Helen Catholic Church. Most of all he loved his family and will be dearly missed by all those who knew him. Surviving are his brother Ron and Janis Bender of Saginaw and their children Jill Anne, Ronald Paul, Julie Marie, and Ryan Stuart-Lee; his sister Judith and Ron Haeske of Saginaw; and many special cousins. A funeral liturgy will take place on Tuesday, July 10, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Helen Catholic Church, 2445 N. Charles, Saginaw, Michigan. Rev. Fr. Ronald Wagner will officiate with burial at St. Andrew Cemetery. Friends may call at The Snow Funeral Home, 3775 N. Center Road, (between Shattuck and McCarty), where the family will be present on Monday from 3:00-8:00 p.m. and on Tuesday at 9:00 a.m. at the church until the time of the service.
