Bartlett, Spencer Elvin, Frankenmuth, Michigan

Loving husband, father, and grandfather passed away into the arms of Jesus on Tuesday, June 5, 2012 at Covenant Healthcare. Age 85 years. The son of the late Richard and Audrey (Campbell) Bartlett was born on June 8, 1926 in Saginaw. He served in the U.S. Army during WWII serving overseas in Japan. He married Juanita M. Erskine on November 10, 1951; she survives him. Spencer worked for A & P Grocery for 21 years then Farm Bureau Insurance from which he retired from after 24 years of service. He was a member of First Christian Church in Traverse City and the Lion's Club. Spencer enjoyed wood working, hunting and spending time with his family. Surviving besides his wife of 60 years, Juanita are their children; Judy Young, Dianne Fowler, Randall (Denise) Bartlett, Wayne (Marilyn) Bartlett, Darryl (Rebecca) Bartlett, Richard Bartlett, many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, a brother Richard (Maxine) Bartlett, Jr. Spencer was predeceased by two sons Timothy Bartlett, Leslie Bartlett; his sister Lorrena Watters, and a son-in-law Eric Young. Funeral service will take place on Saturday, June 9, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at Frankenmuth United Methodist Church, 346 E. Vates St., Frankenmuth. Pastor David Eardley will officiate with military burial at Roselawn Memorial Gardens under the auspices of V.W.P. Post 1859 at 2:00 p.m. Friends may call at the W. L. Case and Company Funeral Chapel, 4480 Mackinaw Road, on Friday from 2:00-4:00p.m. and 6:00-8:00p.m. and on Saturday at church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
