Wrege, Robert John (Rob), Saginaw, Michigan

Beloved fiancé, father and grandfather passed away at his summer home in Edenville, Michigan following a two year battle with cancer. Age 64 years. The son of the late Winfred and Laverelle (Renwick) Wrege, Rob was born January 23, 1947 in Saginaw, Michigan and graduated from Buena Vista High School. He served with honor in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War and was awarded two Purple Heart medals. Rob was an extremely creative handyman and shared his talent with many people. Rob will be greatly missed by his loving fiancée, Jean Pappas and her family; also surviving are three sons, Kip; Marty and his children, Brady and Bailey; Jason and his fiancée Tonya Swartout and her two children, Madison and Brayden; many nieces and nephews. Rob was preceded in death by two sisters, Pam Cummings and Barb (James) McLean. Honoring Rob’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial service, led by American Legion Post #439, will take place on Friday, June 3, 2011 at noon at The Snow Funeral Home, 3775 N. Center Road (between Shattuck and McCarty). Friends may call at the funeral home where the family will be present on Friday from 9:00 a.m. until time of service.
