Wilson, John (Jack), St. Charles, Michigan

Passed away at his home, Wednesday, March 16, 2011. Age 76 years. The son of the late John and Isabella (Carruthers) Wilson was born March 17, 1934 in Highland, Indiana. He married Elizabeth Jean Gregory, January 21, 1956. His wife of 55 years survives him. He served with the U.S. Marine Corp during the Korean War and was a member of American Legion Post #439. He was employed by the City of Saginaw as a Fire Fighter, retiring in 1989 with twenty-five years of service. He owned and operated Wilson’s Boarding Kennel. He was an avid reader and enjoyed flowers, gardening and going to the casinos. John loved his children and family, especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren. Surviving besides his wife are three daughters, Cathy, Jeanne and Amy Wilson; three grandchildren, Elizabeth King, Eric Johnson, Anessa Inman; two great grandchildren, Hannah Elizabeth King and Hunter John Inman; a sister, Anne (Bunty) Janczewski; a sister-in-law, Barbara Wilson; several nieces and nephews. A sister, Agnes (Nancy) Damore and a brother, George Wilson, have predeceased him. In accordance with Mr. Wilson’s wishes cremation has taken place. No public services are planned.
