Willmar, Eugenia J., Saginaw, Michigan


Beloved wife, mother and grandmother passed away Friday, March 25, 2011 at the age of 83 years at Covenant Healthcare Cooper surrounded by her family. The daughter of the late Teofil and Lucy (Hoffman) Mania, Eugenia was born June 28, 1927 in Saginaw, Michigan. She married Clarence Allen Willmar, her loving husband of 64 years, on November 16, 1946. He survives her. Eugenia was a devout member of St. Helen Catholic Church since 1956. She enjoyed bowling, kayaking, music and collecting records and dolls. Surviving besides her husband Allen are two sons, three daughters and their spouses, Richard and Carol Willmar, Trinity, Florida; Ronald and Nancy Willmar, Saginaw; Cheryl and James Williams, Baton Rouge, Louisiana; Pamela Willmar-Volmary, R.N., B.S.N., and her husband William, West Palm Beach, Florida; Barbara and John Watkins, Boulevard, California; Eugenia’s grandchildren, Michael Willmar, Stacy Zander, Stephen Willmar, Mathew Willmar, Eric Willmar, Aaron Willmar, Amanda Willmar, Jamie Allen Williams, Noah (Woody) Watkins, Jesse Watkins; eight great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; several nieces and nephews including special nieces Kay Ann Beck, Rita VanMarter, Charlene Ratajczak and special nephew, Jerry Eagle; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Sandy and Robert Weiland. Eugenia was preceded in death by one brother and two sisters, Harold Mania, Laura Eagle and Leona Kniebbe, a sister-in-law, Shirley Bledsoe-Neville. Eugenia’s family expresses their gratitude and appreciation to Covenant Healthcare Cooper and Meadowview Manor for the loving and compassionate care Eugenia had received. Honoring Mrs. Willmar’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated on Monday, March 28, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Helen Catholic Church. Rev. Fr. Emmett Marceau will officiate. Friends may call at St. Helen Catholic Church where the family will be present on Monday from 10:00 a.m. until time of Mass.
