Walderzak, James F., Saginaw, Michigan

Beloved husband, father and grandfather passed away Tuesday, August 2, 2011 at his home. Age 80 years. Son of the late Waldemar W. and Ida (George) Walderzak, James was born May 18, 1931 in Saginaw, Michigan. He married Mary Ellen Boomer on February 5, 1966. She predeceased him August 6, 2001. He then married Donna J. (Fortier) Kennedy on May 3, 2003. She survives him. James was employed as a meat cutter for Giant Supermarket retiring in 1993. He was a member of St. John Vianney Catholic Church and past member of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church and an usher at St. Thomas. James loved bowling and golfing. Surviving besides his wife Donna are one daughter, Pamela M. and James Schmidt, Ypsilanti ;his step-children, Joel and Margo Nolan, Greenback, Tennessee; William R. and Christine Kennedy, Wixom; Kristina and Donald Campbell, Crown Pointe, Indiana; Lori and Timothy Conley, Saginaw; two grandchildren, Michael Schmidt, Katheryne Schmidt; 11 step-grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; one sister and one brother, Rosemary and Dave Scott, Saginaw; Robert Walderzak, Maryland; several nieces and nephews. James was preceded in death by his son, Philip Walderzak and two sisters and two brothers. Funeral Liturgy will take place on Friday, August 5, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at St. John Vianney Catholic Church. Rev. Fr. James R. Carlson will officiate. Honoring Mr. Walderzak’s wishes cremation will follow. A private burial of his cremains will take place in St. Andrew Cemetery. Friends may call at The Snow Funeral Home, 3775 N. Center Road, (between Shattuck and McCarty), where the family will be present on Thursday from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and on Friday at St. John Vianney Catholic Church from 10:00 a.m. until time of Mass. A Vigil Service will take place at 7:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
