Tucker Jr., Ralph E., Saginaw, Michigan


Beloved husband, father, grandfather and brother passed away Wednesday, April 27, 2011 at his home. Age 80 years. The son of the late Ralph E. and Edna (Hyzer) Tucker Sr., Ralph was born July 21, 1930 in Bad Axe, Michigan. He married Barbara Lund, his loving wife of 58 years, on November 29, 1952. She survives him. Ralph served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War and was a member of American Legion Post #439, its Honor Guard and the 40 & 8. He was also a member of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, Masonic Lodge #77 F&AM, Elf Khurafeh Shriners and the Bay City Consistory. Ralph was active in Saginaw Township Parks and Recreation and helped found little league baseball in Saginaw Township North. He served on the Saginaw Township School Board from 1972-1976. Ralph retired from Procter and Gamble with 34 years of services as an account manager. Surviving besides his wife Barbara are two sons, one daughter and their spouses, Mark Tucker, Commerce, Michigan; Craig and Laura Tucker, Saginaw; Nancy and Raymond Mottura, Sarver, Pennsylvania; six grandchildren, Melissa, Lindsay, Stephanie, Courtney, David and Jason; a brother, A. Delbert and Suzanne Tucker, Greenville; a sister, Marlys and Darwin Noah, Sidney; several nieces and nephews; his beloved dog, Abby. Funeral service will take place on Monday, May 2, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at The Snow Funeral Home, 3775 N. Center Road (between Shattuck and McCarty). Rev. Fr. Richard Jozwiak will officiate with military honors presented by American Legion Post #439. Honoring Ralph’s wishes, cremation will follow. Friends may call at the funeral home where the family will be present on Sunday from 1:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. and on Monday from 10:00 a.m. until time of service.
