Sztuczko, Allan James, Saginaw, Michigan

Passed away unexpectedly Monday, February 21, 2011. Age 65 years. The son of the late Henrietta (Malinowski) and Stanley Sztuczko was born December 18, 1945 in Chicago, Illinois. He served with the U. S. Navy during the Vietnam War. He married Margaret Redwanz, November 11, 1970. She survives him. Allan was employed by City of Saginaw, as Director of Maintenance at the Civic Center and later in Environmental Compliance at the Waste Water Treatment Center, retiring in 2003 with over thirty years of service. He served on the Board of Directors of Family First Credit Union. He was also known as “Commander Buzz Johnson” on WHNN radio in the late 80’s. He volunteered at Covenant Neo Natal Intensive Care unit where he rocked babies. Allan was known for his sense of humor and story telling. He loved to make people laugh. Surviving besides his wife, Margaret, are five children and their spouses, Carl and Peggy Sztuczko, St. Louis, MI; Melissa Payk; Barbara Walle; Gregory and Donna Sztuczko, all of Saginaw, MI; Gretchen and Scott Smith, Frankenmuth, MI; ten grandchildren, Jenna and Curtis Sztuczko; Christopher Payk and his wife Amanda; Andrianna Payk; Eric Walle; Ranger Rasche; Anthony, Victoria and Rebecca Sztuczko; Abbey Smith; a brother and sister-in-law, Michael and Christine Keys, Peoria, AZ. and his dog Willy. He was predeceased by a son-in-law, David Payk. The funeral service will take place at 1:00 p.m. Friday, February 25, 2011, at Holy Cross Lutheran Church, 600 Court St. Rev. James F. Krueger will officiate. Friends may call at the W. L. Case and Co. Funeral Chapel, 4480 Mackinaw Road, from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Wednesday and 2:00-4:00 and 6:00-8:00 p.m. Thursday and then on Friday at the Church from Noon Friday until the time of the funeral service.
