Swinton, Mary D., Saginaw, Michigan

Beloved grandmother and sister passed away Tuesday, June 21, 2011 at St. Francis Home. Age 93 years. The daughter of the late Albert and Victoria (Sotis) Warzecha, Mary was born January 1, 1918 in Detroit, Michigan. She married Lewis Mack on June 14, 1941. He predeceased her on May 15, 1977. Mary then married Edward F. Swinton on September 23, 1983. He predeceased her April 28, 1996. Mary was a member of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus Council #593 Ladies Auxiliary and the Pulaski Club Ladies Auxiliary. She was a former member of St. George Catholic Church. Surviving are Mary’s grandchildren, Ryan Mack, Beaverton; Christine Pierce, Bloomington, Minnesota; a daughter-in-law, Sandi Mack, Freeland; two sisters and one brother, Ann Roznowski, Lima, Ohio; Stanley and Jerry Warzecha, Birch Run ; Angeline and Richard Burzynski, Bridgeport; several nieces and nephews. Mary was preceded in death by a son and daughter, Joseph Mack and Mary Lou Pierce; one sister and six brothers, Catherine, Julius, Adolf, George, Joseph, Anthony and John Warzecha. The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to Dr. Jane Castillo and her staff for the loving and compassionate care they had given to Mary. Funeral Liturgy will take place on Friday, June 24, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church. Rev. Fr. Randy Kelly will officiate with interment in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Friends may call at The Snow Funeral Home, 3775 N. Center Road, (between Shattuck and McCarty), where the family will be present on Thursday from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. and at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church on Friday from 9:00 a.m. until time of Mass. There will be a Vigil Service at 5:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
