Sullivan, Joyce P., Saginaw, Michigan

Beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother passed away Thursday, September 29, 2011 at Hoyt Nursing & Rehab Centre. Age 83 years. The daughter of the late William and Clara (James) Dymond, Joyce was born April 29, 1928 in Houghton, Michigan. She married James Sullivan on February 20, 1950. He predeceased her September 16, 1989. Joyce was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church and its Altar Society, member and officer of the Pulaski Ladies Auxiliary where she chaired the Pulaski Euchre Club. She was also a member of the U.A.W. Local #699 Surviving Spouse Retirees. Joyce enjoyed music, bowling, knitting, crocheting, figure skating, dancing and traveling. Surviving are four daughters, one son and their spouses, Kathleen Sullivan, Ada, Michigan; Ruth Ann and Leonard Jurek, Saginaw; James and Rhonda Sullivan, Ubly; Teresa and Ronald DeLarme, Saginaw; Maureen and Peter Gerke, Caladonia; an “adopted” daughter, Sandy Walraven, Ada; five grandchildren, Katie (Joe) Tonnos, Nicholas Cardenas, Kari (Frank) D’Amico, James Christian and Kayla Jo DeLarme; two great-grandchildren, Gavin and Amelia Tonnos; several nieces and nephews. Joyce was preceded in death by a son-in-law, William Cardenas, and by two brothers and three sisters, Ernest and William Dymond, Winifred Crago, Violet Koski and Dorothy Morin. Funeral Liturgy will take place on Tuesday, October 4, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church. Rev. Fr. Daniel E. Roa-Fuentes and Deacon Roger Pasionek will officiate with burial in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Friends may call at The Snow Funeral Home, 3775 N. Center Road, (between Shattuck and McCarty), where the family will be present on Monday from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and at Holy Family Catholic Church on Tuesday from 9:00 a.m. until time of Mass.
