Schell, Kenneth Hugh, Hemlock, Michigan

Passed away Sunday, May 8, 2011, at HealthSource, Saginaw. Age 88 years. The son of the late Weldon and Ella (Smith) Schell was born April 26, 1923 in Richland Township, Michigan. He married Rose Mary Roggow, November 3, 1951. She survives him. He engaged in Farming and was employed by Hemlock Public Schools as a Bus Driver and by Brockway Roller Rink. Mr. and Mrs. Schell had lived in Houghton Lake for several years. He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Hemlock and was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying hunting, fishing and feeding the squirrels. Surviving besides his wife, Rose Mary, are two children, Carol Howey and her fiancé, Alan Charbonneau, Hemlock, MI; Sandra Peregoy, Freeland, MI; fourteen grandchildren, Andrew and Kerry Peregoy; Earl, Dallas, Bill, Justus, Andy, Jessica, Jennifer, Janessa, Shane, Katelynn Howey; Millie and Joe Pickelmann; several nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives. A daughter, Janet Pickelmann, two sons-in-law, Patrick Peregoy, Randy Howey, one brother and one sister, Homer Schell and Ruth Schell have predeceased him. The funeral service will take place on Wednesday, May 11, 2011 at 11:00 a.m., at Zion Lutheran Church, 17927 Dice Road, Hemlock. Rev. Paul A. Hauser will officiate with burial in Richland Lutheran Cemetery. Friends may call at the W. L. Case and Co. Funeral Chapel, 4480 Mackinaw Road, Saginaw from 1:00-9:00 p.m. Tuesday and then on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service.
