Roth, Alma E., Saginaw, Michigan

Loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother passed away Monday, October 3, 2011 at the Saginaw Geriatrics Home. Age 103. The daughter of the late Otto C. and Wilhelmina (Buchinger) Buetow, Alma was born March 3, 1908 in Richville, Michigan. She was married to Karl C. Roth on June 1, 1930. He predeceased her February 3, 1989. Alma was a member of St. Mark Lutheran Church. She also served as a volunteer at Luther Manor and St. Luke’s Hospital. Alma enjoyed crocheting. Alma was especially devoted to her family, Karl C. and Joyce Roth, Saginaw; Rosemary N. and Franklin (Conway) Williams, Saginaw; Grace Glave, Saginaw; eight grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandson; several nieces and nephews. Alma was preceded in death by her brother, Carl Buetow; two sisters, Leona Kamm and Norma Held; and a son-in-law, James Glave. Funeral Service will take place on Friday, October 7, 2011 at 1:30 p.m. at St. Mark Lutheran Church, 2565 N. Miller Road, Saginaw. Rev. Edward Meyer will officiate with burial in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Friends may call at The Snow Funeral Home, 3775 N. Center Road, (between Shattuck and McCarty), where the family will be present on Thursday from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and at St. Mark Lutheran Church on Friday from 12:30 p.m. to time of service.
