Phillips, Grace I., Saginaw, Michigan

Beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother passed away Tuesday, May 3, 2011 at Covenant Healthcare Cooper. Age 91 years. The daughter of the late Leo and Emily (Campbell) Rich, Grace was born June 15, 1919 in Alger, Michigan, Michigan. Grace was employed at St. Luke’s Hospital for 15 years until her retirement. She was a member of Ames United Methodist Church. Grace volunteered at the V.A. Medical Center for many years and was a member of the V.F.W. Post Ladies Auxiliary. She enjoyed dancing, gardening and sewing. Surviving are one daughter and two sons, Patricia Symons, Saginaw; Daniel Wozniak and Cheryl Boyer, Saginaw; Larry Wozniak and his wife Connie, Crystal Lake; a son-in-law, Rick Ortega; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; one sister, Helen Schank, Bay City; many nieces and nephews. Grace was preceded in death by a daughter, Karen Ortega, a son-in-law, Robert Symons, and by three brothers and six sisters. Funeral service will take place on Friday, May 6, 2011 at 10:30 a.m. at The Snow Funeral Home, 3775 N. Center Road (between Shattuck and McCarty). Rev. Mark Karls will officiate with interment in Chapel Hill Cemetery in Freeland, Michigan. Friends may call at the funeral home where the family will be present on Friday from 9:30 a.m. until time of service.
