Moon, Karl L., Saginaw, Michigan

Beloved father and grandfather passed away Wednesday, April 27, 2011. Age 76 years. The son of the late Karl H. and Doris (Moran) Moon, Karl was born March 3, 1935 in Saginaw, Michigan. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War Era where he was in the Military Police. Karl married Etta (Kathy) Kent on June 8, 1955. She predeceased him February 27, 2000. Karl was employed at Saginaw Steering Gear for 36 years until his retirement and was a member of U.A.W. Local #699. He was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church and its Menís Rosary Group. He enjoyed singing and dancing. Surviving are four sons, three daughters and their spouses, Claudia Moon, Saginaw; Keith Moon, Arizona; Stephen and Cheryl Moon, Freeland; Mark Moon, Mustang, Oklahoma; Libby and Glenn Bouza, Auburn; Michele and Bruce Hill, Reese; Michael and Denee Moon, Fenton; a former daughter-in-law, Christy Zaremba; 19 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; a sister, Ruth Ann and Jim Lamont, Saginaw; a brother, Jerry and Gail Moon, Belleville; several nieces and nephews; many special friends including Pat Green. Karlís family extends their appreciation and gratitude to the Carriage House in Bay City for the loving care they gave to Karl. Funeral Liturgy will take place on Saturday, April 30, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church. Rev. Fr. Ronald Wagner and Deacon Roger Pasionek will officiate. Interment will follow in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Friends may call at The Snow Funeral Home, 3775 N. Center Road, (between Shattuck and McCarty), where the family will be present on Friday from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and at Holy Family Catholic Church on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until time of Mass.
