Miller, Jean E., Saginaw, Michigan


Passed away on Tuesday, September 13, 2011 at Covenant HealthCare-Cooper. She was 91 years. Jean E. Miller was born October 20, 1919 in Williamsport, Ohio to the late Earl and Flora (Patterson) Baker, descendants of the Pioneer family of Ohio. Jean married the Rev. Clyde A. Miller on July 11, 1944 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Maumee, Ohio. He preceded her in death on February 20, 2010. Jean was a graduate of Capital University in Columbus, Ohio, she then went on to teach Elementary School in Ohio. Throughout her life she taught Sunday School and Catechism class, she also enjoyed being a Girl Scout Leader. She is survived by her daughters: Shirley A. Arora of Saginaw and Karen J. Miller of Sanford; granddaughters: Anjali S. Arora Gresens, M.D. and her husband, Joseph Gresens, M.D., and Rajani K. Arora; nephew, David (Susan) Campbell; two nieces: Janice (Dwight) Zotter and Marsh (David) Gerhardt. A funeral for Jean will take place on Thursday, September 15, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at Resurrection Lutheran Church, 2110 Brockway, Saginaw. Rev. Kathleen Basner will officiate. A Committal Service will take place at 1:00 p.m. Friday, September 16, 2011 in Browns Chapel Cemetery in Clarksburg, Ohio. Friends may call at Resurrection Lutheran Church on Thursday from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to Trinity Lutheran Seminary in Columbus, Ohio.
