Mauch, Teresa Marie (St. Laurent), Saginaw, Michigan


Passed away on Tuesday, May 31, 2011 at Saginaw Senior Care Center. Age 88 years. The daughter of the late Joseph and Estella (Brown) St. Laurent was born on August 15, 1922 in Bay City, MI. She attended St. Joseph Grade School and graduated from Central High School in Bay City. Teresa received her RN training at Mercy Central School of Nursing in Bay City and Grand Rapids at Mercy. Following her RN training she enlisted into the Army Nurse Cadet Corps in 1944. She married Theodore (Ted) A. Mauch on September 6, 1952, he predeceased her on March 31, 1985. She worked as an RN for the VA hospital, St. Luke's hospital, Saginaw General Hospital and St. Mary's of Michigan and numerous nursing homes. She was a member of St. Helen Catholic Church. Surviving are her children and their spouses; Ted (Fonda) Mauch Jr., LaPorte, IN, Thomas (Nancy) Mauch, Mark (Anita) Mauch, James Mauch, Phillip (Susan) Mauch, all from Saginaw, a daughter-in-law Penny Mauch, Midland; 7 grandchildren; Father Ted Joseph Mauch, Chief Petty Officer Barbara (Tony) Wikel, Teresa Jean Mauch, Jeremy Mauch, Kristalyn Mauch, Vincent (Indi) Mauch, David (Liz) Mauch, her great-grandchildren; Brianna and Gabrielle, her sister-in-law Martha St. Laurent. She was predeceased by a son, Donald Mauch, her siblings; Louis St. Laurent, Roy St. Laurent, Howard (Mary) St. Laurent, Benjamin (Lill) St. Laurent, Earl (Dorothy) St. Laurent, and Joseph (Joan) St. Laurent. The family would like to thank Saginaw Senior Care and Rehab Center for all the loving care they gave Teresa and making her stay feel like home. Funeral liturgy will take place on Friday, June 3, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Helen Catholic Church, 2445 N. Charles St., Saginaw. Fr. Ted Joseph Mauch will officiate with burial at Roselawn Memorial Gardens under the auspices of the V.F.W. Post 1859. Friends may call at the W.L. Case and Company Funeral Chapel, 4480 Mackinaw Road, on Thursday from 1:00-5:00 p.m. and 7:00-9:00 p.m. where the Rosary will be said at 7:30 p.m. and on Friday at church, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral liturgy.
