Kushion, Alexander, Saginaw, Michigan

Beloved husband, father and grandfather passed away Sunday, April 17, 2011. Age 93 years. The son of the late John and Mary (Ojczyk) Kushion, Alex was born January 21, 1918 in St. Charles, Michigan. He served in the U.S. Army during WW II. Alex married Helen Michkoski, his loving wife of years of 63 years, on October 18, 1947. She survives him. He was employed at as a foreman at Saginaw Steering Gear for over 30 years until his retirement in 1979. Alex enjoyed being outdoors and working in his garden. Surviving besides his wife Helen are one daughter and son-in-law, Janice and Benn Hinds, Frankenmuth; two grandchildren, Angela and Matthew Hinds; two brothers, Walter Kushion, St. Charles; John and Donna Kushion, Alma; a sister-in-law, Annie Kushion, Tawas; several nieces and nephews. Alex was preceded in death by two brothers and one sister, Edward and Frank Kushion and Stella Kaczor. Funeral Liturgy will take place on Wednesday, April 20, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Spirit Catholic Church. Rev. Fr. David Parsch will officiate with entombment in Roselawn Memorial Mausoleum. Friends may call at The Snow Funeral Home, 3775 N. Center Road, (between Shattuck and McCarty), where the family will be present on Tuesday from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and at Holy Spirit Catholic Church on Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. until time of Mass.
