Klenke, Jennie Kathryn (Argyle, Johnston, Yates), Saginaw, Michigan


“Kathryn” was born May 7, 1918, in Midland, Michigan to the late Frieda (Bradley) and Tom Argyle. She left her loving family on September 26, 2011. Kathryn was raised by her loving mother and step-father (Daddy) Walter Earl Johnston. She worked for Morley Brothers as a supervisor of accounts payable for 30 years. She was instrumental in the development of Morley Travel Agency. Kathryn retired in 1983 after 10 years of work at the Saginaw County Mental Health Department. Kathryn is survived by her son, Richard (Patricia) Yates, and her daughter, Janice (James) Qualman; her grandchildren, Jefferey (Jennifer) Yates, Jason (Danette) Yates, Joel (Heidi) Yates, Colleen Freedman, Nancee (Kevin) McCarthy, Craig (Deborah) Chambers; 13 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother, Bradley Argyle, her sister-in-law, Ruth Argyle, and a nephew, Lynn Argyle. Cremation has taken place. Memorial service will take place on Friday, September 30, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at the W. L. Case Chapel, 4480 Mackinaw Road. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Histiocytosis Association (332 N. Broadway, Pitman, NJ 08071) in honor of Kathryn’s great-grandson, Drew Freedman. The family thanks the staff of Hoyt Nursing Home for their loving care and attention to Kathryn.
