Kish, John M., Saginaw, Michigan

Beloved husband, grandfather and brother passed away Saturday, December 3, 2011 at Cartwright Hospice Residence. Age 88 years. The son of the late Michael and Ella (Micsak) Kish, John was born February 10, 1923 in Merrill, Michigan. He married Pauline E. Graham, his loving wife of 52 years, on April 25, 1959. She survives him. John served in the U.S. Army during WW II and was a past member of American Legion Post #439. He was a member of Ss. Peter & Paul Catholic Church. John was employed at Saginaw Transmission Plant for 30 years until retirement in 1975 and was a member of U.A.W. Local #467. John enjoyed sports, hunting, traveling and fishing at Drummond Island. Surviving besides his wife Pauline are two brothers and their spouses, Michael and Joan Kish, Saginaw; Thomas and Janice Kish, Saginaw; three grandchildren, Pauline, Carl and William Lewis; four great grandchildren, Randy, Wallace, Ricky and Abraham; a brother-in-law, Morris Bovear; many nieces and nephews. John was preceded in death by a step-daughter, Dolores Darliean DeTarr, and by five sisters and one brother, Margaret Buckmaster, Ella Halcli, Rose Vincent, Ann Green, Julia Griebel and Joseph Kish. Funeral Liturgy will take place on Tuesday, December 6, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at Ss. Peter & Paul Catholic Church. Rev. Fr. John R. Johnson will officiate. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery where military honors will be presented by American Legion Post #439. Friends may call at The Snow Funeral Home, 3775 N. Center Road, (between Shattuck and McCarty), where the family will be present on Monday from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. and at Ss. Peter & Paul Catholic Church on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until time of Mass. There will be a Vigil Service at 5:30 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
