Keyser, Robert V., Saginaw, Michigan

Beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother and uncle passed away at his home early Tuesday, July 5, 2011, after a long, courageous battle with cancer. Age 75 years. He was born April 20, 1936 in Saginaw, the son of the late Marie (Parrott) and Virgil Keyser. He retired from Saginaw Steering Gear Plant 4 in 1991 after 37 years of service. He was an avid gardener, enjoyed going to the Soaring Eagle Casino, and hunting and fishing. He especially loved spending time with his grandchildren. He married Barbara A. Martin on November 3, 1956; she survives him. He also leaves two sons and one daughter, Terry Keyser (Shelley Weese), Saginaw; Pamela and Tom Blackowitz, North Port, Florida; Mark and Robin Keyser, Saginaw; seven grandchildren, Kevin, Stephanie, Kellie, Claire, Hannah, Braden and Madison; two brothers and one sister, Gerald “Buck” and Donna Keyser, Gaylord; Melvin “Butch” and Anne Keyser, Bridgeport; Patricia and Ed Wilson, Dryden, Michigan; several nieces, nephews and their families. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by a granddaughter, Karen Francine Keyser, and by four brothers, Gene, Harold, Don and Charles Keyser. Funeral service will take place on Friday, July 8, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at the W. L. Case & Company Funeral Chapel, 4480 Mackinaw Road, where his family will receive friends from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Thursday and then on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider the American Cancer Society or Heartland Hospice.
