Kabobel, Margaret A., Saginaw, Michigan


Passed away Thursday, December 15, 2011, at Hoyt Nursing & Rehab Centre. Age 87 years. Margaret Ann Roesler was born on September 30, 1924, in Saginaw to the late John and Matilda (Seeley) Roesler. She was married to Edward A. Kabobel on December 17, 1960, in Saginaw. He predeceased her on May 1, 2009. Prior to her retirement, she worked at Saginaw Furniture Factory for 20 years and then Saginaw Steering Gear for 17 years. She was a charter member of Resurrection Lutheran Church. Surviving are five children and their spouses, Cathy Dougherty, Saginaw; Larry (Sheryl) Nachtweih, Saginaw; Rick (Sue) Miller, Saginaw; Fay (Paul) Sudhoff, Saginaw; Edward (Kathy) Kabobel, Jr., Temple, TX; Saginaw; 23 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; sister, Elizabeth (Alex) Lichtenwald; Saginaw; brother, Jack Roesler, Saginaw; sister-in-law, Ella Kabobel; many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two daughters and one son, Dona Persons, Michael Nachtweih, and Marlene Tornberg; son-in-law, Bernard Dougherty; and three sisters, Eva Meier, Emma Wirth, and Patricia Smith. The family wishes to extend their gratitude to the staff at Hoyt Nursing & Rehab Centre for their care of Margaret. Funeral Celebration will be held on Tuesday, December 20, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at Resurrection Lutheran Church, 2110 Brockway St. The Rev. Kathleen Basner will officiate with burial in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Friends are welcome to visit with the family at Wakeman Funeral Home, Inc., on Monday from 3:00 to 8:00 p.m., then at the church on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to Resurrection Lutheran Church and to the Ladies Auxiliary of Fraternal Order of Eagles #497.
