Jessmore, Constance Marie Hart, Traverse City, MI, Formerly of Saginaw, Michigan

Connie Jessmore passed away Sunday, October 30, 2011 at her recently established home in Traverse City, MI at the age of 86. She was born in Saginaw June 12, 1925 to Hilda and George Hart and resided in Saginaw, the city she loved, for nearly her entire life. Connie and her two older sisters, Patricia and Kathleen and one younger brother Richard were raised on South Michigan Avenue by her father and his sister, Aunt Mainie (Elizabeth Hart) after her mother was killed in an automobile accident. She graduated from SS Peter and Paul High School and attended Clearey College. She was employed at Michigan Bell Telephone Company where she met her husband Ralph J. Jessmore through mutual “Bell” friends. They were married April 16, 1951 and had three children. They enjoyed life together for 32 years. She loved her family and enjoyed planning long vacations to the east, south and one “out west” along with the lazy summers at the family cottage.  Connie volunteered in many capacities in her life; most notably at Saint Mary’s Hospital auxiliary, Knights of Columbus, Boy Scouts of America as a Cub Scout Den Mother, and St. Helen Catholic Church.   Connie is survived by her children and their families, Barbara and John Beller and James and Peggy Jessmore of Idaho Falls, ID and Thomas and Terri Jessmore of Traverse City, MI. She is also survived by eight grandchildren, her sister and brother-in-law Kathleen and Bud Schnetzler, sister-in-law Joy (Floyd) Jessmore, brother-in-law Ralph Roberts (Joyce) many dear nieces and nephews and great neighbors. The funeral liturgy will be held on Friday, November 4, 2011 at 10:00 a.m., at St. Helen’s Catholic Church, 2445 N. Charles St.  Rev. Ronald Wagner will officiate with burial in St. Andrew Cemetery. Friends may call at the W. L. Case and Co. Funeral Chapel, 4480 Mackinaw Road, from 3:00-9:00 p.m. Thursday and then on Friday at the Church from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral liturgy. The Knights of Columbus # 4232 Ladies Auxiliary will pray the Rosary at 4:00 p.m. Thursday.
