Jarlock, Edward S., Saginaw, Michigan


Beloved step-father, grandfather and uncle passed away Friday, April 22, 2011 at his home. Age 87 years. The son of the late Stanley and Marie (Janaszak) Jarlock, Edward was born October 2, 1923 in Chicago, Illinois. He served in the U.S. Army during WW II, was a Prisoner of War, awarded the Purple Heart and the European African Middle Eastern Theater Ribbon with Three Bronze Stars. Edward married Dorothy Urban. She predeceased him on September 15, 1987. He then married Margaret Bailey on April 28, 1990. She predeceased him April 29, 2009. He was a member of Ss. Peter & Paul Catholic Church. Surviving are four step-children, Gary and Sharon Bailey, Bonnie and John Vasey, Cheryl and Mike Semaan, Mark and Amy Bailey; 12 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews including Barbara Krzywosiaski and Doris “Peaches” Jones. Edward was preceded in death by three sisters and three brothers, Stella Jenkins, Helen Nichols, Ann Snyder, John, Charles and Joseph Jarlock. Funeral Liturgy will take place on Wednesday, April 27, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at Ss. Peter & Paul Catholic Church. Rev. Fr. John R. Johnson will officiate. Interment will follow in Mt. Olivet Cemetery where military honors will be presented by V.F.W. Post #1859. Friends may call at The Snow Funeral Home, 3775 N. Center Road, (between Shattuck and McCarty), where the family will be present on Tuesday from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and at Ss.
